The University of Southern California (USC ) , founded in 1880, is the oldest private research university on the west coast of the United States. In 2024, Forbes listed it as one of the 10 "new Ivy-equivalent private schools".
USC Marshall School of Business was established in 1920. It is the earliest business school accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in Southern California. The Marshall School of Business has become one of the best business schools on the west coast of the United States, and many of its disciplines rank among the top in the world. Management of the film and entertainment industry, business management, and real-estate management are the three most famous majors at the Marshall School of Business. Currently, it is at the leading position in the research of artificial intelligence, big-data modeling, business management, and marketing. In the 2024 U.S. News rankings of the best business schools in the United States, the Marshall School of Business ranked 8th. In the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings for 2018-2023, the Marshall School of Business ranked 5th globally.

Program Content
The program lasts for 10 days and is specifically designed for students interested in the intersection of artificial intelligence and business strategy. The course content combines theoretical learning, practical operations, and case analyses to help students comprehensively master the basic knowledge of AI technology. It also explores and analyzes cutting-edge global applications of AI in business decision-making, market forecasting, supply-chain optimization, product development, and other fields.
By participating in the program, students will not only gain an in-depth understanding of how artificial intelligence shapes future business but also learn how to use these technologies to solve practical business problems.
The program consists of four parts: courses, guest lectures, on-site visits, and cultural activities.



Program Achievements
Students will receive a grade report and a program completion certificate issued by USC Marshall.
Related Fees
The program fee is $6,500.
Included in the fee:
- Tuition for 48 class-hours and course materials.
- One guidance lecture on the early application for professional master's degrees and a symposium with the admission officers of the USC Graduate School.
- One campus visit.
- One visit to the USC School of Cinematic Arts, which ranks first around the world in film majors.
- One visit to the USC Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
- Program cultural activities.
- Online and on-site orientation for new students.
- Registration for the summer-program student card, welcome dinner, and closing ceremony.
- Double-room accommodation in the student dormitory, including a meal plan (breakfast and lunch).
- Grade report, program completion certificate, and program management service fee.
Not included in the fee:
- International round-trip air tickets, visa fees, and insurance fees.
Undergraduate students who meet the requirements can apply for the special scholarship for overseas exchanges. Please pay attention to the subsequent notices issued by each college for the scholarship application!
Application Requirements
1. Major requirement: There is no major restriction. Students interested in artificial intelligence or business innovation will be given priority.
2. Academic performance requirement: A GPA of 3.0 or above; (applications with a GPA below 3.0 will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
3. Language requirement: (Meeting any one of the following is sufficient) TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.5, CET-4 score of 530, CET-6 score of 500, iTEP 5.0, Duolingo 115, or a score of 120 in the English section of the college entrance examination (only applicable to freshmen and sophomores).
Application Process
1. Log in to the “Foreign Affairs Management System of Hunan University” [Download method for the system usage guide: Enter the official website of the “International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Hunan University” → Click on “Overseas Exchanges for Students” → Click on “Related Downloads”, and download the “User Guide for the Overseas Exchange Program Management System for Students (Student Version)” and the “User Guide for the Overseas Exchange Program Management System for Students (Review Version)”]. Fill in the online application and upload the following application materials:
(1) Chinese and English transcripts since enrollment (sealed with an official stamp).
(2) Copies of English test certificates.
(3) Chinese and English certificates of enrollment (sealed with an official stamp).
2. The deadline for the on-campus application is 5:00 PM on May 20, 2025.

The office address is Room 224, the Second Office Building, South Campus, International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Hunan University (Monday to Friday, 8:00–11:30 am; 2:30–5:30 pm).
2. After being recommended by the school, students are not allowed to abandon the exchange qualification at will.
3. Please apply for overseas medical insurance and accident insurance after receiving the admission notice from the partner university.

During your stay abroad, pay attention to safety and abide by local laws and regulations. The program implementer has no right to make any promises regarding whether a student can obtain the scholarship or financial support for overseas exchanges of Hunan University undergraduates. This scholarship will be evaluated by the school’s scholarship review committee according to relevant management regulations.
