In 1926, Hunan Provincial government decided to joint Public Business Special College of Hunan Province, Hunan Public Industry Special School and Hunan Public Law and Policy Special School to establish Hunan University, The dean of the Section of Business is the president of Hunan Public Business Special School, Huang Shiheng.

One of predecessors- Department of Business of Hunan University

From 1930 to 1937, Hunan University set up the Department of Business again that get successive good care from Several foresight leadership of Hunan University with Hu Yuantan, Cao Dianqiu, Hu Shuhua and Huang Shiheng, and had great contribution to academic.

One of predecessors- National Business School

It was renamed from National Business Academy which developed from Jiangsu Bank Academy in 1942. In 1946, National Business School was merged into Business School of Hunan University.
