一、Introduction to EDP
Founded in 2011, the Executive Development Programs (EDP) Center of HNU Business School is one of the initiators of the Association of Chinese Executive Development Programs. The initiators include more than 20 business schools of the "985 Project" universities. The center is the only one in Hunan having access to faulty and mobile classroom resources of the association.
The center has carried forward the cultural heritage of Hunan University, a thousand-year-old higher education institution. Relying on the hundred-year business education of the Business School, the center has adhered to the training philosophy of seeking truth and innovation. With a strong teaching force, practice-based curriculums, and meticulous teaching services, the center is committed to building a digital intelligent platform for the humanistic business education ecosystem. The aim is to cultivate enterprise management personnel with a global perspective, an innovative thinking, good professional quality, and a strong sense of social responsibility. The center is also geared towards boosting discipline construction and talent cultivation of the Business School, and serving local economic development and national development strategies.
二、Profile of EDP Programs
EDP programs mainly feature two categories: open management training programs and group business programs customized for organizations.
Through open management training programs, middle and senior managers with business operation experience who are looking forward to enhance their expertise in management will gain exposure to cutting-edge ideas and acquire an in-depth understanding of China's business environment, helping them think outside the box and develop global perspectives and excellent management competences. The programs pursue a targeted, practical, and flexible teaching and provide high-quality education and meticulous services for learners. Trainees who pass all course assessments on schedule will get relevant certificates.
Group business programs are highly associated with organizations' development strategies, management practices, and organizational culture. The programs are customized for organizations' specific needs for topics, courses, teachers, training time, training venue, training mode, and assessments. Curriculum improvements are built on current economic situations, management hot topics, and practical problems of enterprises. In recent years, the center has provided customized management trainings for administrative personnel of hundreds of enterprises and public institutions from Hunan and other provinces. The center has received good comments from cooperation units and trainees for teaching quality, service management, brand reputation, and social contribution.
