About HNU Business School
Hunan University (HNU) is situated in Changsha, a renowned historical and cultural city. It is adjacent to the rippling Xiangjiang River in the front and picturesque Yuelu Mountain in the backdrop. It is reputed as an "Ancient Millenarian Academy and Famous Centennial University". With its long history, profound culture, and outstanding educational tradition, HNU has been designated by the Ministry of Education as a state key university, and involved into the national "Double First-Class Project".
The HNU Business School provides two doctoral programs at the first-level disciplines of Business Administration and Management Science and Engineering; two postdoctoral research programs; and, three professional master's degree programs—MBA, EMBA, and MPAcc. Six first-level undergraduate subjects including Business Administration, Accounting, and Marketing have been ranked as first-class subjects at the national level. A complete three-level talent cultivation system covering bachelor's degree, master's degree, and doctoral degree programs has been established. The school also has 15 interdisciplinary research institutes such as the Management Science Research Institute and the Digital Society and Blockchain Research Institute, as well as an innovative research group supported by the National Natural Science Foundation and other innovation teams.
The discipline of Business Administration ranked 12th and was among the top 10% (A-) in the third and fourth discipline assessments by the Ministry of Education respectively. In the fifth discipline assessment, the disciplines of Business Administration and Management Science and Engineering achieved record-high results, being designated as key disciplines in Hunan's 14th Five-year Development Plan.
In 2022, the disciplines of Economics & Business and General Social Sciences have entered the global top 1% in the ESI (Essential Science Indicators) again. The school has received accreditation from the AACSB International. For the third time, its AMBA accreditation has been renewed for a period of 5 years, which made the school the first one in Hunan that has won such accreditation for three times. Furthermore, its EQUIS accreditation process has entered the final stage.

Job Positions and Requirements
Leading personnel (with a professor rank)
1. Have achieved domestic or international advanced academic results in the field.
2. Be competent to organize and lead national key scientific projects and major international cooperation projects.
3. Have proven leadership skills in making achievements that surpass and maintain an international advanced level in the field.
Backbone personnel (with a professor or associate professor rank)
1. Hold a doctoral degree from well-known universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad; and, have a good education background or work experience.
2. have independent scientific research capability and possess extensive scientific knowledge and expertise
3. Be competent to organize and lead international cooperation projects or national scientific research projects.
4. Have the potential to be a leader in the field.
Disciplinary reserve personnel (with an assistant professor rank)
1. Hold a doctoral degree from well-known universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad; and, have a good education background or work experience.
2. Make outstanding academic achievements in the field; and, have academic influence and favorable personal potential.
Post-doctoral Students
1. Fresh or recent graduates who have obtained a doctoral degree within the past three years
2. Candidates under the age of 35 years old will be considered, although individuals aged 35 or older who have made extraordinary achievements will also be taken into consideration.
3. Have great potential for scientific research, demonstrate good academic morality, and exhibit integrative competence.
4. Have the ability to engage in full-time research activities.
Salary
1. Qualified leading personnel (with a professor rank) will be offered an internationally competitive salary that varies based on individual qualifications and experience, extra start-up fund for scientific research, and settling-in allowance.
2. Qualified backbone personnel (with a professor or associate professor rank) will be offered an internationally competitive salary that varies based on individual qualifications and experience, extra start-up fund for scientific research, and settling-in allowance.
3. Qualified disciplinary reserve personnel (with an assistant professor rank) will be offered a basic pay of at least 400,000 yuan per year, extra start-up fund for scientific research, and settling-in allowance.
4. Qualified post-doctoral students: three standards of HNU-funded subsidies: 470,000-plus yuan per year; 240,000 yuan per year; and, 160,000 yuan per year.
Other supporting terms
Resource allocation: For scholars who are in short supply in the disciplines of the school or who are particularly outstanding, the supporting conditions such as scientific research start-up fee, settling-in fee, and spousal resettlement can be specifically negotiated, and priority will be given to providing support in the allocation of master's/doctoral candidates and the construction of experimental platforms.
Housing support: The university and the school will provide transitional talent housing, rental subsidies, and other forms of housing support according to the talents' needs.
Children's education: The university owns a kindergarten (a model kindergarten of Hunan Province), an attached elementary school (the bilingual experimental school), an attached middle school, and other basic education quality resources.
Research and teaching teams and bases: The school has 15 interdisciplinary research institutes, including the Institute of Management Science and the Institute of Digital Society and Blockchain; and a series of national, provincial, and ministerial-level research and teaching groups and bases such as the Creative Research Groups of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Living environment: Changsha is a core city in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and a national comprehensive transportation hub. It has been honored as one of the happiest cities in China, the Culture City of East Asia, and a "City of Media Arts" for several times for its inexpensive housing, gourmet food, and rich cultural and entertainment life.
