On January 12, 2018, Dean Professor James Devlin, Associate Dean Professor Robert Webb, Director Li Ma of China Affair, International Center of The University of Nottingham met at HNUBS for cooperative agreements. Dean Professor Chaoqun Ma, Associate Dean Zhi Yang, Director Lei Liu of International Cooperation and Communication of HNU, Deputy Director Associate Professor Yan Yang of MPAcc, Professor Jun Deng and Professor Jing Peng of MBA attended the talk.

In the beginning, Dean Professor Chaoqun Ma expressed a warm welcome and sincere greeting to the visiting team. He and Dean Professor James Devlin then introduced the faculty, research, academic achievements and two schools students. Associate Dean Professor Zhi Yang presented internalization progress at HNUBS and offered a future partnership with The University of Nottingham.

The meeting intends to expand the discussion of MSc, degree programs (MBA and MPAcc) regarding cooperation and communication. Associate Dean Professor Zhi Yang proposed the planning in the above field at the meeting. Dean Professor James Devlin congratulated HNUBS on the academic influence while inviting HNU as a crucial partner in developing the University of Nottingham’s globalization strategy. Two schools closed the meeting with MOU in exchange program-five-year MSc program (4+1) and mutual intent in future internationalization.

Dean Professor James Devlin, Associate Dean Professor Robert Webb lectured Ph. D, graduate students and international students with “Banking and Financial Services Theory and Practice”. The lecture covered managing balance sheet methods in financial crisis for commercial banks with more significant cash flow and introducing ranking system in the financial industry. Dean Professor Sheng Liang presided over the lecture.

Two lectures provided students with the opportunity to meet world-famous scholars. It also incorporated the key elements and basics of the industry and financial models. Students were challenged to develop solutions and welcomed similar interaction in the future.
