Seminar: Professor Siqing Peng

On Jan 18 2018, Professor Siqing Peng of Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, took over the forum’s closing session and presented “Consumer Mentality and Satisfaction Management across Different Social Hierarchies”. Associate Dean Zhi Yang presided over the session.

Received his PhD of Social Psychology from the University of Hong Kong, Professor Siqing Peng now is Professor of Marketing, Guanghua School of Management, Peking University and Secretary General of Chinese Marketing Association of Universities. He opened the presentation with a line of TV commercial about a financial product, followed by a question: “Why would the commercial annoy us?” and then the thesis: “How to obtain satisfaction?” Referred to relevant articles and theories, Professor Siqing Peng shared his findings for Chinese across different social hierarchies.

Professor Siqing Peng broke down the concepts and explained the practice from three approaches: impacting factors, changing perspectives and social psychology. The key is: “Perfection” drives people above satisfaction. In the interactive session, Professor Siqing Peng received questions on social issues and shared his points.
