Recently, the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) officially sent a letter to the BusinessSchool of Hunan University, in which it declaredthe schoolfor successfully entering the accreditation process after the review and voting bythe Accreditation Committee of the European Quality Improvement System(EQUIS) on 16thJune. This is another important progress made by the school in itsinternational accreditation work after AMBA and AACSB international accreditation.
The school became a member of EFMD in 2015. After that, it successively passed the procedures of applying for entrance eligibility and pre-assessment of qualifications. It officially submitted the Datasheet report to the EQUIS Committeein May this year and got approved for the eligibility.
In recent years, the school has formulated and implemented strategies to support the internationalization and high-quality development of the school in accordance with the EQUIS accreditation standards.And it has continuously made new achievements in talenttraining, scientific research, and international cooperation.
EFMD was established in 1972 and headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. It aims to promote the development of global management, with registered members in 90 countries and regions around the world. The EQUIS accreditation has been implemented since 1997 and has become the strictest quality accreditation system in Europe. Along with AMBA and AACSB accreditation, it is listed as one of the three most authoritative and valuable business school quality accreditation systems in the world. As of now, there’re only 207 EQUIS accredited schools around the world.
