On the afternoon of September 8, 2022, Hunan Province held a ceremony to commend outstanding teachers and celebrate the 38th China’s Teachers ' Day.
Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, met with the outstanding teacher representatives.
Zhu Guoxian, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Wang Yi’ou, vice governor of Hunan Province, and Wang Kemin, president of the Education Foundation of Hunan Province, attended the meeting or the commending ceremony.
Winners of the 9th Xu Teli Education Award of Hunan Province as well as outstanding teachers and outstanding personnel working in the education sector were honored at the ceremony. Prof. Ma Chaoqun of the HNU Business School won the Xu Teli Education Award.
The Xu Teli Education Award is the top award of Hunan Province in the education sector. It is presented every five years. In this session, 20 teaching staff received the honor, with only six working in universities.
