On the afternoon of 15thJune, the MBA/EMBA Love and Support Scholarship Award Ceremony of Hunan Universitywas held in the B206 lecture hall of the Business School. Liu Xidong, School Party Secretary, Yi Hongbo, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, Zhang Yuejun, Vice Dean,Associate ProfessorZhang Biao, President ofXinxin Public Welfare Promotion Association of Changsha and Associate Professor Chen Zhi, Vice President of Xinxin Public Welfare Promotion Association of Changsha, attended the meeting. Li Zunhao, Deputy director of MBA/EMBA Education Management Center, presided over the meeting.
12students were assisted this time with each received 6,000 yuan.
Liu Xidong congratulated all the students who received aid. He said that MBA/EMBA education has always been adhering to the value concept of ‘unity of knowledge and action, righteousness to go further’.And MBA/EMBA educationconstantly strengthens the education of social responsibility awareness in the learning process to serve social and economic development. Liu Xidong thanked the MBA/EMBA students who generously donated at the beginning of their enrollment, and hoped the assisted students will pass on this love in the future through the aid donated by the Love Relay House to help the indigent students in School.

Deng Ning, a student of EMBA class 42, spoke on behalf of all the students who donated, saying that through the Love Relay House and other public welfare activities, more people will be encouraged to pay attention to every indigent student around them. They continued to study despite difficulties, which moved and educated MBA/EMBA students to keep their original aspirations, and constantly surpass themselves. They were also reminded to deal with various challenges with a positive attitude, and solidly promote the sustainable development of enterprises.
According to Zhang Yuejun, in August 2020, the MBA/EMBA program of Hunan University launched the Love Relay House public welfare project relying on Xinxin Public Welfare Promotion Association of Changsha founded by teachers of the Business School. The welfare projectaims to fund poor high school students and college students in the Hunan Province. In the past two years, 18 outstanding students from families with poverty in Business School have been funded. Since its launch in 2017, Public Welfare Month at Entrance activities have developed continuously in public welfare projects, areas, and contents.A series of various and colorful public welfare activities have been carried out throughout the province.
