The 2022 Asia-Pacific Forum on Green and Low-carbon Development was held in Changsha from September 8 to 9, with the theme of "Low-Carbon Development Empowers a Greener Future". The forum was held both online and offline, gathering 101 guests from government departments, international multilateral institutions, academia, and the business community. The cumulative number of clicks online exceeded 7.3 million, hitting a record high.
Chen Qizhen, deputy director of the Administrative Center for China's Agenda 21, and Yang Zhi, dean of the Business School of HNU, addressed the parallel session 3 of the forum. This parallel session, titled "Frontiers and Trends in Low-carbon Technologies", was chaired by Zhang Yuejun, director of the Center for Resource and Environmental Management and associate dean of the Business School of HNU.
The parallel session was co-hosted by the Center for Resource and Environmental Management of HNU, the Administrative Center for China's Agenda 21 of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the CCUS Special Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. More than 300,000 people participated. They discussed the frontiers and trends in emerging low-carbon technologies and pushed forward the establishment of a low-carbon green innovation system, focusing on issues such as the development status and dilemmas of green low-carbon technologies and industries, and the green low-carbon development enabled by digital technologies.
