Recently, the Ai Ruishen Alumni Association website released a list of top 100 Chinese universities in terms of the strength of management discipline for the year 2023. Hunan University (HNU) was ranked 15th on the list with a total score of 200.80 and a 6-star rating.This notable achievement highlights the consistent efforts of HNU in maintaining its status as a world-class institution in China. This is the second time that HNU has been acknowledged and praised by famous third-party university evaluation institutions in China for its excellence in terms of Business Administration discipline, following its first-place ranking among universities in the central and western regions of China in the same discipline.

The ranking of management discipline strength of Chinese Universities by Alumni Association 2023 was formulated according to the core evaluation index of first-level management disciplines specified in the Degree Awarding and Talent Cultivating Disciplines Catalogue (2011) issued by the Ministry of Education. The management discipline can be sub-categorized into such first-level disciplines as Management Science & Engineering, Business Administration, Agriculture and Forestry Economic Management, Public Management, and Library and Archive Management. Management Science & Engineering and Business Administration disciplines at HNU Business School are particularly competitive, contributing to HNU’s ongoing prominence in the field of management among Chinese universities.
