On the afternoon of November 10, the 391-392 edition of Yuelu Administration · Professor Forum hosted by the HNU Business School was held successfully. Prof. Zhen Lu, dean of the School of Management of Shanghai University (SHU), and Roel Leus, professor of Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium were invited to the forum and shared academic lectures on "optimization theories and methods" with teachers and students.
Zhen Lu, dean of the School of Management of Shanghai University, speaks.
Prof. Zhen delivered a lecture with the theme of "Research on Decision Optimization of New Distribution Mode Based on Mathematical Programming". He shared his thorough analysis of the extensive application of VRP in the scenario of new distribution mode and introduced his latest research results in the use of mixed integer programming formulation, linearization technology, and various customized acceleration technologies.
Roel Leus, professor of Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, gives a lecture.
Prof. Roel Leus gave an academic report titled "A New Formulation For Parallel Machine Scheduling Using Decision Diagrams". In the report, he introduced a new flow-based formulation using decision diagrams proposed by his research team for the single-objective parallel machine scheduling, and verified the superiority of this new formulation over time-indexed and arc-time-indexed formulations through a series of experiments. The research result is of great significance for manufacturing and supply chain management.
