A symposium on building the first batch of Hunan provincial key laboratories of philosophy and social sciences was held at the Hunan Federation of Social Sciences (HFSS) on the morning of November 15. During the meeting, an announcement was made by HFSS to make public these laboratories. Meanwhile, units selected for laboratory construction were awarded plaques.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Hunan Province decides to focus on supporting the construction of no more than 10 Hunan key laboratories of philosophy and social sciences. In the first batch, four units were selected to pilot the construction of Hunan key laboratories of philosophy and social sciences and two units were selected to cultivate such laboratories. The Industrial Digital Intelligent Financial Laboratory led by HNU Professor Xie Chi was listed as a pilot laboratory of philosophy and social sciences. This is the first approved provincial liberal arts key laboratory of HNU, and it is also a major breakthrough in the construction of economic management disciplines and scientific research platforms.
