Business School Launches Zero-Carbon Future Symposium

A “Zero-Carbon Future" themed symposium, a part of the Global Youth Climate Week, opened at the HNU Business School on the evening of November 21. The symposium was hosted by the Business School, the Youth Committee of the Hunan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and the China Building Material Test & Certification Group (CTC) Hunan subsidiary.

Prof. Zhang Yuejun said in his speech that green and low-carbon development is the essential way to cope with climate change. HNU Business School as one of the co-initiators of the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate Change (GAUC), always expects to put forward solutions to climate change through research, education, and public awareness, and to call on more young people to adopt a green life and contribute to promoting sustainable development.

Peng Jinqing, Xiao Huantian, and Bi Peng, a student of the School of Civil Engineering, shared their views on the topics of "Research and Exploration on Key Technologies of Zero-Carbon Building", "Carbon Practice Introduction and Expansion", and "Sewage Mining - A Low-Carbon Source of Urban Wastewater Treatment Technology" based on their research fields.
