Smart Marketing and Value Ecology Innovation Research Center

Introduction

The Smart Marketing and Value Ecology Innovation Research Center is a school-level research institute established in 2023. It has three main research directions: 1) current intelligent marketing and big data marketing; 2) value ecology innovation; 3) marketing strategy and innovation management. The research center owns an innovative research team that is recognized for its international first-class standards, including national-level outstanding scholars. There are 11 professors, 7 associate professors, and 2 assistant professors. The center has the provincial key laboratory - "Enterprise Management and Decision Support Technology", the virtual teaching and research laboratory of marketing specialty of the Ministry of Education, and other platforms. Members of the center have presided over 50 major, important, and general projects at national and provincial levels, such as major projects of the National Social Science Fund of China and the preliminary studies of national scientific and technological innovation plan during the 13th "Five-Year Plan" period. They have published over 200 research papers in the international top or well-known business science journals indexed in SSCI.

The center is dedicated to promoting cutting-edge research in the field of marketing and providing enterprises with a strategic direction for sustainable development by digging deeper into the theory and practice of intelligent marketing and value ecology innovation. It focuses on the application of advanced technologies in marketing, including artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and social media marketing, to improve the market competitiveness of enterprises in the digital era. It will also study on how enterprises can build sustainable value ecosystems through innovative business models and partnerships to achieve win-win and co-prosperity. The center adopts a multidisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research methodology, combining empirical research and case studies, in order to deeply explore new knowledge in the field of marketing and innovation, and provide actionable recommendations for real-world business scenarios. The center's research results are widely used in business practices and government policy making, and also provide rich theoretical support to the academic circle. Pursuing a leading position in the field of smart marketing and value ecology innovation, the center strives to build itself into a professional research institute with international influence and of national importance, contributing to the sustainable development of the society and economy.

Organizational Structure

The members of the Smart Marketing and Value Ecology Innovation Research Center can be divided into two parts: the basic research teams and specially-appointed experts. The basic research teams consist of faculty members who are actively involved in related fields within the Business School of Hunan University. The specially-appointed experts hired by the center include well-known scholars at home and abroad specializing in the related fields of intelligent marketing and innovation management.

Plan

Plans and expected results for the next 3-5 years:

1. Projects: To preside over 1 national major project, 1 national key project, and 5 national general/ youth projects.

2. Papers: Aim to publish 15-20 papers in authoritative academic journals at home and abroad. We will strive to publish 2 papers in A1 journals as the first or corresponding authors, 3 papers in A2 English journals as the first or corresponding authors, and 5 papers in the Journal of Management World, Journal of Management Sciences in China, Economic Research Journal, Qiushi, and People's Daily (Theory Column) as the first or corresponding authors.

3. Textbooks and monographs: Aim to publish 2 influential monographs, translations, and teaching materials as the first author, while striving to be cited in the research results of 5 or more professors from the "985 Project" universities (excluding Hunan University).

4. International exchanges: To organize international seminars and forums, build itself into an important academic exchange platform in the field of intelligent marketing and value ecology innovation, and promote interactions and cooperation among global scholars and industrial professionals.

5. Practice and industrial matchmaking: the center will actively establish close partnership with enterprises, apply research results to actual business through cooperative projects and consulting services, and advance the implementation of intelligent marketing and innovation in the industry.

6. Policy consultation and participation: To establish cooperative relationships with relevant government departments, actively participate in policy formulation in the field of intelligent marketing and innovation, and provide policy suggestions and support for industrial development.

7. Talent cultivation: To nurture 1 national high-level talent recognized by the university, 5 full-time post-doctoral fellows, and 16 doctoral students.
