Financial Administration (including the curriculum offered)

The financial administration program is an accounting-based discipline which combines the characteristics of financial analysis and decision-making and data science and technology. Hunan University is one of the schools that have directly obtained the qualification to award doctorates in accounting in China, and it is also the first batch of schools to offer the financial management program in China. In 2001, Hunan University began to offer the financial management program, which recruits students holding a bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral or post-doctoral degree. The program can be traced back to the Hunan University of Finance and Economics in 1960, which is one of the earliest universities and colleges in China to provide undergraduate accounting education. In 1987, the program began to admit postgraduate students. In 2003, the program is eligible to cultivate doctoral students in accounting. In 2006, the program was approved as a key discipline by Hunan Province. In 2019, the program won the first place with an A-level rating in the comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate majors in Hunan Province. In 2022, the program was rated as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site.
