​​Announcement for the Selection of HNU Business School Students for the Harvard University Exchange Program

In order to meet the students’ desire for the opportunity to study at top-tier universities abroad and broaden their international vision, HNU Business School will select a group of outstanding undergraduate students, graduate students for academic or professional degrees, and doctoral candidates from our school to participate in an exchange program at Harvard University.

Program Schedule


Specific Days


Activities

Day 1-2


Depart for the United States and complete necessary procedures.

Day 3-5


Attend the lectures given by professors from the Harvard Kennedy School, with teaching assistants available for translation and on-site coordination.

Venues: meeting rooms and classrooms on the campus.


Have lunches at the Harvard student dining halls.


Topics of lectures: leadership skills, internation trade, international relations, and government administration.

Day 5


The training courses will culminate in a course completion ceremony. Students will be awarded certificates of completion printed by the Harvard University Admission Council.

Day 6

 


Visit world famous enterprises in the morning and leave for New York in the afternoon.

 

 

Day 7


Visit listed companies, Wall Street, and the United Nations Headquarters.

Day 8

The program ends, and students will return to China.

Duration:

First batch: 8 days from December 9 to 16, 2023

Second batch: 8 days from January 1 to 22, 2024

Required Application Materials: (Item 1-7 are compulsory)

A personal information form

A scanned copy of the first page of your passport (If you do not currently have a passport, you may instead submit an explanation of when you will obtain one.)

A resume in English

A list of the courses you have taken in HNU

Chinese and English versions of the official transcripts stamped by HNU are required. In addition, graduate students are required to submit your undergraduate transcripts, while doctoral candidates are required to provide transcripts of your previous academic stage, the published research findings, and related certificate documents.

A copy of GPA certificate stamped by HNU (Graduate students are required to provide an undergraduate GPA certificate at the same time.)

Application form to Harvard University (see attachment)

A copy of valid proof of English proficiency (valid proofs of IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo can be submitted as supporting materials.)

If available, please provide a copy of your valid U.S. visa.

6,640 USD per person (about 48,472 CNY, which is subject to the real-time USD-RMB exchange rate)

Financial Assistance

To encourage students to pursue exchange and study programs overseas, outstanding candidates who meet the requirements of the program and have excellent academic performance and prominent academic outcomes, may get the opportunity to receive financial assistance from the school. The assistance will be awarded based on the evaluation of the school’s evaluation committee.
