The center serves as a research platform dedicated to fintech and innovation management. Details of its responsibilities and events are as follows:

Organizational Structure

The organizational structure mainly consists of the following parts:

1. Leadership

Director: be responsible for formulating overall strategic plans and policies and guiding routine operations.

Deputy Director: assist in management tasks and be dedicated to specific research or administrative work.

2. Research Team

Researchers/Scholars: have expertise of finance, economy, and computer science and be responsible for scientific research and writing reports.

Technicians: be in charge of developing and maintaining the necessary technological solutions, such as data analysis tools and model building, required for the center.

3. Administrative Support Team

Administrative staff: be in charge of routine administrative management work, such as human resources, financial management, and events organization.

Marketing and communication team: be responsible for market promotion, brand building, and external communication and cooperation.

4. Education and Training Department

Instructors and educators: be in charge of designing and implementing education projects, such as postgraduate curriculum, seminars, and workshops.

Students and research assistants: participate in research projects and receive professional training.

5. Advisory Committee

Plans

In the next three to five years, the research center is likely to focus on the following aspects to enhance its ability and influence.

1. Research and Technology Innovation

- strengthen research ability in fintech, especially in big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing;

- establish and upgrade labs and facilities to support advanced research and product R&D; and,

- release high-quality research findings and improve the academic status and industry influence of the center.

2. Talent Cultivation

- design and launch new education programs and curriculum, cultivating new-generation fintech leaders and experts; and,

- enhance cooperation with domestic and foreign universities and research institutions, promoting academic and talent exchange.

3. Industry Cooperation and Technology Transfer

- work with financial institutions, tech companies, and governmental agencies to put research findings to practical use; and,

- promote technology transfer and commercialization, supporting the development of innovative financial products and services.

4. Internationalization and Global Network Building

- expand international cooperation to increase the center's global presence in fintech dialogues and projects; and,

- build an international cooperation network covering academic institutions, industry organizations, and other research centers.

5. Policy Research and Consultation

- strengthen ties with the government, providing policy suggestions and participating in fintech-related policy-making; and,

- study and cope with socioeconomic effects occurred in the development of fintech, including employment, privacy protection, and financial stability.

6. Infrastructure and Resources Investment

- invest in advanced research and education facilities, including computing resources, database, and labs; and,

- seek external financial support, including government aid, industry sponsorship, and private investment.

7. Brand Building and Knowledge Popularization

- enhance brand and market position of the center, increasing the public's understanding of and support for the center; and,

- host public lectures, seminars, and exhibitions to popularize the knowledge and achievements of fintech.

The research center is geared towards creating an innovative, multidisciplinary, and internationalized space for fintech research and education through these plans, aiming to contribute to suitable development of the financial sector as well as socioeconomic progress. The plans will be adjusted and optimized in the light of industry trends, technical progress, policy environment, and the center's development needs.

Expected Outcomes

The research center will complete two Class-A indicators or five Class-B indicators in accordance with the Construction Plan for Research Centers of Business School of Hunan University under a five-year contract.
