The Business School is one of the earliest institutions engaging in business education and research in China. Currently a complete three-tier talent cultivation system spanning from bachelor’s degree to doctoral degree has been developed. The Business School offers six undergraduate programs, including Business Administration, Accounting, E-commerce, Marketing, Information Management and Information System, Financial Administration, Financial Management (Financial Engineering) and one experimental class. The six programs were approved as national first-class majors, with Business Administration and Accounting honored as national featured ones. In recent years, the school’s Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, and Financial Administrationhave ranked first in the overall evaluations of undergraduate programs among higher education institutions in Hunan and all have been granted with a grade-A rating. The school has 15 interdisciplinary research institutes including the Institute of Management Science, one national grade-A discipline, one national innovative and experimental zone for talent training mode, one national teaching group, and five national brand courses. The school has won more than 30 awards for scientific research at ministerial- and provincial-level, the gold award at the China College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the gold award at the “Challenge Cup” China Collage Students Entrepreneurship Competition.
