The online interactive class is a big step for Business School of Hunan University to promote international interaction between faculty and students. During the class, students from both sides discussed ‘the role of Chinese social media platforms such as The Little Red Book and Tiktok for Chinese consumers and the impact of platform advertising on consumers’.

Online Class

A student from Sawyer Business School asked, ‘how to consider a comprehensive platform meets the needs of consumption, socialization and work at the same time?’ Our students quickly answered that a comprehensive social media platform always aims at maximizing commercial interests, and the diversification of functions gives it a strong commercial competitive advantage and a relatively concentrated consumer base, and the comprehensive development is an inevitable trend for those social media platforms.
