Enterprise Performance Evaluation Research Institute

Hunan University (HNU) set up the Enterprise Performance Evaluation Research Institute in 2007. Enterprise performance evaluation, an important part of enterprise management and operation, is a product of market economy and modern enterprise management. Effective enterprise performance evaluation is of great significance to sustained enterprise development and value promotion. It reflects enterprise operation conditions and quality in a scientific and all-around way, and better predicts corporate development prospects. The institute studies enterprise performance evaluation theories and methods, establish such evaluation system, and scientifically assess business results. This guides business behaviors, and helps enterprises find business performance gaps and reasons, and enables enterprises to enhance operation management and economic benefits. The institute now has 4 professors, 3 associate professors, 2 assistant professors, and 8 doctoral students from HNU School of Business and Queen’s College of University of London. It is a powerful and well-structured academic research team.

Studying enterprise performance to serve regional economic development.

Objectives:

- Studying the relationships between the theoriess, method, tools and management practices of enterprise performance evaluation;

- Exploring the mutual support and correlation between enterprise performance evaluation, strategic management, comprehensive budget, resource allocation, and human resource management;

- Helping enterprises improve performance management.
