The lecture will analyze basic development characteristics of the new-generation information technology platform, covering that the Internet is no longer just a kind of technical system or application platform, but a kind of strategic man-made resources, widely integrated into economic and social systems, which is contributing to drastic changes of the systems.
Professor Yang Shanlin will focus on case study of high-end equipment manufacturing industry to explore its growth under the Internet and big data environment, and explain the impact of a new generation of information technology on the manufacturing products’ life cycle, resource organization, and business model. He will expound his views on the problems of manufacturing engineering management science in the era of intelligent Internet, and put forward a new interdisciplinary research direction of new-generation information technology and management science.
Brief Introduction
Professor Yang Shanlin is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and an expert in Management Science and Information System Engineering. His main research interests include decision support systems, decision science & technology, and optimization models. He has published papers in journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Resources, Conservation and Recycling and Expert Systems with Applications.
