On December 21, 2018, the Accounting Class of 2016 invited Duanyu Jiang, the president of QIANJIN Group, a Zhuzhou-based listed pharmaceuticals company, for“Financial Accounting Studies of Senior Management Perspectives”. The event was hosted by Director Assistant Professor Wenming Wang, Department of Financial Accounting, Business School, Hunan University.

Mr Jiang began the seminar by Q&A to the attended students, whose focuses have been how to develop professional competency during college study. His suggestion is students should “dare to challenge, will take initiative and be patient”. Then, he addressed accounting examination, managerial accounting and operational accounting with years of management experience, and shared the QIANJIN Operational Model. Finally, in the interactive session, Mr. Jiang discussed some issues with professors and students related to revenue and profit, financial shared service center vs accounting clerk and diverse career path between accounting firms and corporate accounting.
This gathering developed the advantage of industry and university collaboration, which created a vibrant communication environment with creative, knowledgeable and interested stakeholders.
