The ceremony took place with distinguished guests:Vice President Professor of Hunan University Chi Xie, Associate Professor Lu Deng of Graduate School & Degree Office, Dean Professor of the school Chaoqun Ma, Associate Deans of Guangming Gong, Hui Lei, Zhi Yang, Zhongbao Zhou and Xun He,Professor of National University of Defense Technology Yuejin Tan,Professor of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Xin Chen,Professor, University of Southern California Sha Yang, Professor of HNUBS Yuejun Zhang, Department Heads & Directors, Excellent Faculty & Student Representatives, all PhD students and MSc students.

Associate Dean Shuren Xia presided over the conference and made the opening remarks. The two-month event received over 100 paper submission in around 11 days (Dec 28-Jan 2)of blind review & grading, 7 sessions of lectures ( Jan 7 - 11)by guest speaker and 6 sub-forums.
