On Jan 15, 2018, HNUBS held the First Innovation Forum for Graduate Studies & Award Ceremony of Outstanding Graduate Paper.
Associate Dean Zeliang Liu presided over the event and expressed welcome to the attended scholars and experts: Director Professor Junjun Hou of Managing Department of Social Sciences, Director Professor Shuangyin Wang of Department of Postgraduate Management & Development, Dean Professor Chaoqun Ma, Associate Dean Professor Hui Lei, Professor Zhi Yang, Professor Zhongbao Zhou, Associate Dean Jianguo Cai,Sha Yang of the University of Southern California, recipient of “Changjiang Scholars Program”, Professor Dengfeng Li of Fuzhou University, recipient of “China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists”, Professor Zhongfei Li of Zhongshan University, representatives of faculty members, all PhD students and MSc students.

The two-month event invited around 100 authors with their papers. It covered blind-review (Jan 12 - 14), followed by nine sessions of lecturers by guest speakers and six sub-forums (Jan 15-18).

On the opening, Director Professor Junjun Hou of Managing Department of Social Sciences congratulated the awards of “A” and Top 10 for Business Administration onThe Fourth Round National Discipline Assessment. The achievement and significance of the development of discipline and talent cultivation are inseparable. He also called on continuing steady work on research, considering micro and macro-levels and action-purposed strategy and planning.

Then, Director Professor Shuangyin Wang of the Department of Postgraduate Management & Development praised the school on “Top-tier” quality of postgraduate education, being a role model among other schools of HNU and pioneer with a strategic perspective.

Dean Professor Chaoqun Ma closed the award with his warmest appreciation to invited scholars & experts, members of the review panel, departments of the university, Department of Postgraduate Education & Management. He said: “the purpose of the event is above awarding or discussion on a stated subject; the interaction is where inspirations gather and happen for better insight. We all should cherish this seminar, invest more effort while applying critical thinking into further study. Now, the Week of the First Innovation forum begins!”
