On May 8 and 9, the 5th Round National Discipline Assessment Initiative Meeting was held to discuss and plan for the assessment application. Deans, directors, senior faculty members and members of the assessment team attended the meeting. Associate Dean Professor Yuejun Zhang presided over the event.
In the beginning, Dean Professor Zhi Yang introduced the keys of assessment: “Quality, Effectiveness, Distinctiveness and Impact”. Then, the review on the 4th round assessment was presented to the attended faculty members. Associate Dean Shuren Xia said: “The assessment is to oversee the development and ongoing input of our school and education. All faculty members should work to incorporate test-taking strategies and prepare for the assessment in accordance”. Professor Chaoqun Ma concluded with his suggestions on the existing issues.
Associate Dean Professor Yuejun Zhang and Director Professor Feng Wang of Discipline Development and Planning Office stated and discussed the standards, reasoning & analysis, and implication of our work with professors.
The threshold towards and preparation over the planning will lay a solid ground for the assessment.
